The Farms free toddler group runs every thursday morning from 9:30-11:30
This group is open to all, with priority given to SNG housing residents. Each week our staff will take the group around the farm, introducing you all to the animals, with opportunities to feed the animals, handle them, and spend time with them.
As well as this, we will be doing a variety of:
Arts and crafts,
Woodland activities,
Gardening,
Outdoor games.
The aim for this session is to offer the community a enjoyable, accessible, and inclusive activity. This group has been heavily requested by our community - and we are so proud to be doing this, all thanks to funding from Sovereign Network Group (SNG). Due to this funding, we will be giving priority to SNG residents to book.
Southampton City Farm strives to create an inclusive, holistic learning environment where children can join in with practical and creative activities. The group runs with a maximum of 20 children, across the ages of 0-5. Adults are welcome to participate in learning, or stay for a cup of tea in our community room. We do ask that only 1 adult stays with the group per child/group. This means there is more space and opportunity for everyone in the group.
Please see below important details for the session:
Please let us know by email or Facebook message if you are unable to come to the group. If you persistently do not attend the group, we will have to cancel future bookings to allow as many people to enjoy the farm as possible. If given notice, we can then open up the space to others.
We supply toddler friendly snacks on this session (see menu on website). If there are any allergies or dietry requirements, please let us know, and we would be happy to not serve that item.
The group will go ahead even during the rain, so please dress yourself and child appropriately for the weather. We can supply some waterproof trousers in wet weather (limited).
If your child is poorly, please do not attend and let us know so we can move your slot onto the following week. We have adults with learning disabilities and critical health needs on site, and cannot risk this passing onto them.
The activities each week depending on weather and animals.
We will be opening up booking slots 1 month at a time to manage bookings. Please keep an eye on our website and social media for notification as to when this goes live.
Free snacks will be given during the group. You are more than welcome to bring your own food and drink, but please see below a menu of snacks we will provide (please also email us with any allergies and we can adapt this each week).
Please fill out the below form if you are a SNG resident, as you will be given priority booking spaces. DO NOT FILL OUT THIS FORM TO BOOK GENERALLY - BOOKING LINK IS ABOVE.
