Southampton City Farm offers a programme of activities for people with mild to moderate Learning Disabilities, Different Abilities, and Neurodiversities. We have a supportive environment where people can enhance life skills, build employability skills, and participate in real work opportunities. A large focus of the sessions is to promote wellbeing through animals and nature.
Our site is made up of 5 acres of grounds including a small farm, pond, grassland habitats, gardens, and a fully equipped building suitable for a range of indoor activities. Southampton City Farm is set within a safe and beautiful green space in the middle of Millbrook. The farm is easily accessible by bus, train, car, or walking.
A programme of hands-on nature-based activities is delivered by expert staff and our team of volunteers, and we aim to create a sense of achievement, personal responsibility, and self-confidence. Our activities take place within a social setting alongside other adults and children, which promotes a feeling of inclusion and belonging The Farm is a friendly and calm environment where people can learn new skills, make new friends, grow in confidence and independence, and above all have fun.
